The Madrid City Council has confirmed that the 2026 summer campaign will feature a total of 25 outdoor pools. During the opening day, citizens will be able to access the facilities free of charge, with the season running until September 6th.
As a key new feature, the council has introduced a program of free 30-minute express classes, including activities such as aquafitness and stretching. Additionally, basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) workshops for adults will continue to be held at municipal sports centers.
Meanwhile, the Community of Madrid will open its four managed facilities—including the Puerta de Hierro Sports Park and the M86 Swimming Center—on May 16th. The general admission price remains at five euros per session, a rate that has not increased in the last nine years.
Tickets for municipal facilities can be purchased through the Sports web portal or the Madrid Móvil application, with 80% of spots reserved for online sales. Users also have access to natural swimming areas in the region, such as the San Juan Reservoir or Alberche Beach.
