The Community of Madrid will be the meeting point for the Spanish video game industry this Friday and Saturday, with the celebration of MAD Games Show 2026 at the Official College of Architects of Madrid.

The event, bringing together developers, studios, investors, and training centers, aims to boost the growth of this strategic sector. As a prelude, the Telefónica Foundation hosted the 'Beyond the Game' conference, a forum that explored the social impact of video games beyond entertainment.

"Video games are today an industry that generates economic value, quality employment, and knowledge, and that has an undeniable cultural dimension and a growing influence on how we relate, learn, and create."

Luis Martín · Deputy Minister of Culture, Tourism and Sport
Organized by the Spanish Video Game Association (AEVI) and Spanish Video Game Development (DEV), MAD Games Show will offer networking spaces and B2B meetings to facilitate funding and collaborations. It will feature a large exhibition area with nearly 80 studios and a dozen universities, showcasing the creative and technological potential of the sector.
The program includes a series of conferences for professionals and students, addressing topics such as technological development, narrative, and project internationalization. Additionally, it will host the fourth edition of JobDevs, the sector's job fair, to promote employment and contact between companies and new talents.
The regional government frames this event within its commitment to the video game industry, a field that combines creativity, technology, and innovation. The Community of Madrid concentrates a significant portion of the video game business fabric in Spain, with a turnover exceeding 1.2 billion euros and around 6,000 direct jobs, consolidating its position as a hub for talent, investment, and creative development. To boost this growth, video game aid has been doubled to 500,000 euros, and MAD Games Show itself is sponsored, initiatives integrated into the Strategic Plan for the Audiovisual Industry 2026-2029.
