The 44th edition of the Pottery Fair takes place in Madrid from May 14 to 17, 2026, showcasing popular pottery with a special focus on animal iconography.

From Thursday, May 14, to Sunday, May 17, Madrid becomes the hub of popular pottery with the celebration of the 44th Pottery Fair. This event, held in the Plaza de las Comendadoras, gathers the most prestigious workshops in the country to display the vitality of artisanal ceramics in 2026.
This year's edition focuses on the representation of animal figures in clay. A central thematic exhibition explores how fauna has historically inspired artisans, shaping a distinctive iconography. Each participating workshop contributes a unique piece representing its region and linked to this zoological theme.
Visitors can explore a wide variety of pieces, from everyday household items to purely decorative elements. The fair will be open continuously from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

The fair is committed to generational succession and technical dissemination through a program of free activities.

The program of free activities includes introductory workshops for children, which will take place on Thursday, May 14, and Saturday, May 16, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, lasting one hour and led by master potters. Additionally, the public can observe live demonstrations of processes such as kneading, turning, and decorating. Notable are the turning demonstrations by a master potter from the Francisco Alcántara Official School of Ceramics, scheduled for May 15 and 17, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Plaza de las Comendadoras has adapted access for people with reduced mobility. For public transport, the closest Metro stations are San Bernardo (Lines 2 and 4) and Ventura Rodríguez (Line 3), complemented by various bus lines.
