The race, now a classic on the capital's sports calendar, began with the presence of Deputy Mayor Inma Sanz and the Councilor for the Central District, Carlos Segura. The 10-kilometer circuit started at the iconic Puerta del Sol, passing through streets like Preciados and Gran Vía, then continuing along Alcalá to Cibeles, descending via Recoletos and Paseo de la Castellana to Cuzco, and finally returning to Recoletos.
Before the starting gun, a poignant minute of silence was observed in memory of firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty. The race paid special tribute to the ten firefighters who died in the tragic Almacenes Arias fire in 1987.

At the conclusion of the competition, a total of 57 trophies were awarded across various categories, both sporting and professional. Deputy Mayor Sanz took the opportunity to emphasize the importance of this event as an unmissable fixture in Madrid and as a tribute to the essential work performed by firefighters across the country.
Furthermore, Sanz reminded attendees that the capital will host other major sporting events in the coming weeks, such as the Zurich Rock 'n' Roll Running Series marathon on April 26 and the Mutua Madrid Open tennis tournament, scheduled between April 20 and May 3.
