The regional government's investment in this project amounts to 12.3 million euros. The new facilities, located at Calle Olesa de Montserrat 6, are expected to be operational by early 2027.
The center will occupy a space of more than 5,000 square meters spread across five floors, in addition to parking. This area is four times larger than the nearby primary care facility it will replace.
The new public healthcare resource in Madrid will feature nine Family Medicine consultations, eight Nursing consultations, three Urgent Care consultations, two Pediatric consultations, one multipurpose room, and spaces for Social Work and Midwifery, including a childbirth preparation room. It will also have Pediatric Nursing with a waiting area adapted for child patients.
Furthermore, the premises will include physiotherapy facilities, a lactation room, another for extractions, wound care, ultrasound, and minor procedures, along with an emergency room. It will also be equipped with reception and administrative areas.
The center will also house a Continuous Care Point (PAC), offering Nursing services on weekends and holidays, for which spaces such as bedrooms and a lounge for on-call staff have been provided.
The building is completed with storage areas, offices, and spacious waiting rooms, aiming to create a functional and comfortable environment for both professionals and users.
This Fuencarral Health Center is part of the 28 new primary care facilities currently under construction by the Community of Madrid, out of a total of 34 planned for the current legislative term, aimed at improving healthcare infrastructure.
Six of these centers are already operational, and five more are scheduled to open this year in various locations across the region, including several in Madrid capital.
