Madrid City Council has authorized the execution of the second phase of the fire department logistics center located in the Villa de Vallecas district, with an investment of 11.5 million euros.

The new infrastructure, which will be developed through the Department of Works and Equipment, will allow for the expansion of the service's operational capabilities. This project responds to the increase in staff and the need to optimize the logistics management protocols of the fire department in the capital.
The design of the new building, which will have a surface area of 6,577 square meters, includes basement, ground, and first floors. The space will house garages for first-response vehicles and technical work areas, centralizing support tasks in a single location to reduce response times.
This action is part of the Southern Strategy, a municipal plan that seeks to transform several districts of the city urbanistically and economically, including Villa de Vallecas, Puente de Vallecas, and Vicálvaro.
