The exams, commencing on Saturday, June 20, 2026, will involve over 20,000 candidates across 67 venues throughout the region. Successful candidates will join Madrid's public schools for the 2026/27 academic year.
This public employment offer nearly triples the 685 positions from the prior call, thanks to the integration of the Employment Offer. The specialties covered range from Early Childhood and Primary Education to areas like Special Educational Needs, Speech and Language Therapy, Physical Education, Music, English, French, and German.
Early Childhood Education is the most sought-after specialty with 5,646 applicants, followed by Special Educational Needs (4,017) and Primary Education (3,566). English (2,824) and Physical Education (1,949) also show high demand, while Music, French, and German have significantly fewer candidates.
The logistical organization for these exams is substantial, with 422 tribunals established across 67 venues within the five territorial area directorates of the Community of Madrid.
The selection process comprises three phases: the initial examination, a merit-based assessment (evaluating experience and training), and practical classroom sessions, which will begin in September.
The call also includes provisions for exceptional circumstances, such as exam deferrals for pregnant candidates or those with duly accredited force majeure. Furthermore, 7% of the positions are reserved for individuals with disabilities.
