This service, managed through the municipal offices of the Madrid Tax Agency (ATM), aims to support the capital's citizens in fulfilling their tax obligations. Special emphasis has been placed on assisting individuals over 65 years of age, offering a more personalized and confidential service to overcome potential technological barriers.
“"As has been done in the last three campaigns, attention for people over 65 will be reinforced to provide them with more personalized care, overcoming possible technological barriers, in a quieter environment and with greater confidentiality for them."
Interested taxpayers could request an appointment from April 29 for telephone assistance, and from May 29 for in-person support. The deadline to request these appointments is June 29. Appointments can be requested via the AEAT website or through dedicated phone numbers.
The collaboration between the Madrid City Council and the AEAT has proven highly effective in previous years. During the 2024 campaign, over 29,000 taxpayers were assisted, resulting in the preparation of nearly 22,000 tax returns and the resolution of over 3,400 inquiries. Of those assisted, 5,084 were over 65 years old, representing 17.33% of the total.
To receive this advice, taxpayers must meet certain requirements established by the AEAT, such as limits on employment income (up to 80,000 euros annually) and movable capital income (up to 20,000 euros annually), among others. Exceptional circumstances, such as the compensation of pending items from previous years or the regularization of floor clauses, are also considered.
Among the new features of the 2025 Income Tax Campaign is a new deduction of up to 340 euros for recipients of the Minimum Interprofessional Wage (SMI) and other employment income below 18,276 euros. Deductions for energy efficiency improvements in homes, the acquisition of electric vehicles, and charging points are also extended. Residents in the Community of Madrid will also benefit from existing regional deductions, such as those related to housing rentals or the acquisition of primary residences in areas at risk of depopulation.
