This initiative, which is the second auction of the year and the sixth since its implementation in 2025, aims to give a second life to municipal assets that are no longer in use. Available items include trucks, dumpers, tractors, and even an automatic vehicle wash bridge.
To ensure transparency and efficiency, the auction is managed by International Auction Group (IAG), a company specializing in auctions. This company was selected through a public tender process by the General Directorate of Contracting and Services of the Madrid City Council, in compliance with the Public Sector Contracts Law.
“"The transparency of the auction process and the value and utility of the auctioned items are reflected in the large number of bids received."
Interested parties can place their bids via the IAG website from this Wednesday until May 7. Additionally, viewing days for the vehicles have been arranged at the company's facilities in the municipality of Loeches (M-217 road) on April 28 and 29, and May 5 and 6, during morning and afternoon hours.
Detailed information for each lot, including photographic reports, technical reports (such as OBD for cars), and ITV status, is available on the auction platform. Complementary expenses required for title transfer are also specified.
These auctions have proven to be a significant source of income for the city council. The first auction of disused vehicles and industrial items, concluded last June, raised almost 600,000 euros with over 1,300 participants. Subsequently, other auctions of lost property, electric vehicle chargers, and waste containers have added over 100,000 euros.
