This initiative aims to bring the traditional Madrid dance to all citizens, with no prior experience required. The activity will start at 12:00 PM and will be open to anyone interested in participating, offering a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in local culture.
In addition to the dance class, attendees can enjoy a complementary workshop where they will learn to make fans and carnations, distinctive elements of Madrid's traditional attire and folklore. This combination of activities promises a festive and enriching day for all ages.
“"No prior experience is required, only the desire to dance and celebrate Madrid's traditions."
The Siempre Madrid Association, with over forty years of experience, is dedicated to promoting chotis and Madrid folklore at various events and centers. Thanks to the support of the Central District Council, the association has a rehearsal space at the Lavapiés Cultural Center, where chotis classes are also held on the last Saturdays of each month, thus consolidating a stable program for promoting traditional dance in the Centro district.
