Madrid bursts with culture and leisure this weekend with festivals, theater, and exhibitions

The capital and its municipalities offer a diverse agenda including electronic music, heavy metal, flamenco, theater, exhibitions, and gastronomic routes.

The Community of Madrid is set for a weekend full of cultural and leisure activities, with an offering ranging from music and literature festivals to theater premieres and exhibitions, alongside sports and gastronomic events.

Music will take center stage with the Fury Madrid Festival of hard techno at Ifema this Friday, featuring artists like Jowi and Miss K8 B2B Anime. The following day, the same venue will host the Jackies Madrid Festival House Music, with appearances by Purple Disco Machine and Jayda G. The Iberoexperia initiative returns with a concert series highlighting the musical diversity of Latin America, Portugal, and Spain, starting this Friday at Sala Villanos with La Muchacha.
Internationally, the Australian band Rüfüs Du Sol will perform on Sunday at the Movistar Arena, presenting their fifth album Inhale / Exhale. Meanwhile, the British band Saxon will celebrate their 45th anniversary at La Riviera this Sunday, performing their album Wheels of Steel. Gastronomy also has its place with tapas routes in several municipalities. Rivas Vaciamadrid celebrates ‘Tapas Galácticas’, while San Fernando de Henares and Pozuelo de Alarcón also offer their own routes. Las Rozas hosts The Champions Burger, a burger festival, and Arganda del Rey celebrates its Wine Fair.
Book Day is celebrated with the new festival Libromad, offering over 400 activities in 100 municipalities, with a central event on Sunday in the Plaza de España.
