This public resource operates 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, and is aimed at women over 16 years old who have experienced any type of sexual violence, regardless of whether a complaint has been filed. The new contract will cover the period between July 1, 2026, and June 30, 2028.
The center's team consists of 21 professionals, including psychologists, lawyers, and social workers, who develop individualized care plans. These plans encompass psychological and social support, legal advice for filing complaints, and legal assistance, as well as free solicitor services when processes are formalized.
“"Since its launch in 2023, the center has assisted 3,881 women, with 1,047 attended directly at the facility and 2,834 through the free helpline 900 599 316. Additionally, 423 family members or support persons have also received guidance."
The regional government emphasizes that it boasts the most extensive and specialized public resource network in Spain for women victims of violence, their children, and dependents. This network includes emergency centers, shelters, supervised apartments, as well as residential places for victims of trafficking for sexual exploitation, young people, and incarcerated or formerly incarcerated women. The Community of Madrid also operates another 24-hour Crisis Center offering residential places and two pioneering initiatives: one to help women leave prostitution and another for young victims of violence with intellectual disabilities.
