The Community of Madrid is bracing for another day of intense heat this Thursday, July 23rd, with maximum temperatures expected to approach 39 degrees in some locations. Despite a slight drop in highs in certain areas, particularly in the south, the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has maintained an active yellow heat warning.
The day will start with clear skies and some haze during the early morning. Throughout the day, the sky will remain cloudless. Winds will be light and variable initially, shifting to southwest and west in the morning, with moderate intervals during the central hours.
Minimum temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged. However, maximum temperatures will slightly decrease outside the Sierra region, though values will still be very high. AEMET forecasts highs exceeding 36 degrees in the Sierra and reaching between 37 and 38 degrees in the rest of the community.
The predicted readings for Thursday include up to 39 degrees in Alcalá de Henares, 38 degrees in Aranjuez, and 37 degrees in Madrid, Getafe, and Navalcarnero. In Collado Villalba, highs are expected to be around 36 degrees.
The State Meteorological Agency has issued a yellow warning for high temperatures between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM, the period of the day when the highest values are anticipated.
