Madrid City Council will open two new day care centers in the Retiro district by the end of the year, providing a total of 90 care places.

The facility, located on Téllez Street, involves a multi-year investment of 3.8 million euros approved by the Government Board. The project consists of two specialized centers: one focused on cognitive impairment, such as Alzheimer's, and another for users with mixed physical and cognitive impairment.
The premises, housed in a four-story building covering 3,983 square meters, feature a therapeutic garden designed for stimulation and rehabilitation. The equipment also includes a gym, therapy rooms, a dining area, and a multipurpose classroom.
This new resource joins the municipal network, which currently exceeds 4,700 places across public and private centers. The initiative aims to support elderly people in remaining in their homes through multidisciplinary care, including nursing, physiotherapy, psychology, and occupational therapy.
