The Governing Council has authorized the necessary funding, which includes equipment, applications, and technical assistance for monitoring the provisional count and providing updated information to citizens on election day.
This system will be responsible for receiving, verifying, and publishing data from polling stations, as well as offering support to administration representatives and resolving incidents. It will feature alternative mechanisms to ensure its operation in case of technical problems.
The Data Processing Center, located at the Real Casa de Correos, will centralize the reception and processing of results from across the region, also providing IT support to the Provincial Electoral Board.
Citizens will be able to follow the count's progress through various channels, including the website, multimedia services, and mobile applications, with reliable and updated data. The Cuenta Digital platform will also facilitate easy and direct results consultation, all with specific cybersecurity measures.
Preparatory work will begin before the elections with system testing and will continue on election day with the monitoring of the provisional count and the publication of final results. Subsequently, support will be provided for votes from Spaniards residing abroad (CERA), the final count, and the dissemination of final data.
Given that the regional elections will coincide with municipal elections, the Community of Madrid will coordinate with the Ministry of the Interior for information exchange, maintaining the separation and protection of regional data.
Full simulations and operational tests will be conducted before election day. The applications and equipment for the provisional count have received a favorable security audit from the National Intelligence Center (CNI).
