The event, which features the participation of José Andrés Rojo Ramírez, grandson and biographer of General Rojo, and the collaboration of the GEFREMA Association (Group for the Study of the Madrid Front), aims to honor the memory of this military officer loyal to the government of the II Republic.
The day will begin at 10:00 AM at the Town Hall's House of Culture and will be divided into two parts. The first, running until 12:30 PM, will offer attendees two alternative itineraries. One is a climb to Cerro del Picazuelo from Cinco Villas to explain the configuration of the Somosierra Front, guided by GEFREMA members. The other is a guided visit to the Lozoyuela Penal Detachment, led by Culture Technicians from the Lozoyuela City Council.
The second part of the commemoration will take place from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM in the same House of Culture. Here, José Andrés Rojo Ramírez and Carlos Díez Hernando, an educator and GEFREMA member, will hold a conversation focusing on Vicente Rojo's military career and biography. The event will conclude with a public forum for attendees.
