Plaza de España in Las Rozas will transform this weekend into a family motorsport hub, with free activities organized by the City Council and the Community of Madrid.

Under the slogan 'Madrid with the Engine', an initiative from the Pueblos con Vida program, the town joins the passion for racing and the sporting atmosphere surrounding the Formula 1 Grand Prix. The event aims to bring the excitement of motorsport to residents and boost local life.
The youngest attendees will be the stars on a pedal-powered karting circuit, where they can experience being drivers in small, adapted single-seaters. This activity combines play, coordination, and physical exercise in the heart of Las Rozas.
The entertainment offering is expanded with a professional driving simulator and five Nintendo Switch 2 stations featuring the game Mario Kart World. Activities will be available on Saturday, September 12, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Sunday, September 13, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Furthermore, surrounding bars and restaurants will offer the chance to follow the Formula 1 races on their screens, merging the sporting experience with local gastronomy. This collaboration aims to boost commerce and hospitality in the area.
The 'Madrid with the Engine' initiative is a strategy by the Community of Madrid to revitalize municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants, combating rural depopulation and fostering community through public space events.
