This positive assessment comes from a satisfaction survey driven by the Directorate General for Commerce, Consumption, and Services, aimed at the town councils benefiting from this service. The questionnaire evaluated attention, institutional collaboration, and the treatment received, highlighting the service's usefulness and proximity, as well as its support for vulnerable groups and good relations with associations.
This service, promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Employment with an investment of nearly half a million euros, aims to ensure that municipalities without direct consumer competencies offer their residents the same level of rights protection as other localities.
More than 370,000 residents from towns such as Fresnedillas de la Oliva, Guadalix de la Sierra, Cercedilla, Patones, El Molar, and Chinchón, among others, benefit from these agreements. These agreements are signed with the town councils and associations linked to the Consumer Council.
The regional government thus reaffirms its commitment to consumer protection in less populated areas, consolidating this model of agreements with local entities as a key tool for citizen attention and guidance.
