With over five decades in the industry, Javier Ruibal, originally from Cádiz, has solidified his position as a key figure in Spanish music. His unique style, which blends poetry and humor in his lyrics, has made him a versatile artist much beloved by the Madrid audience.
“"It's going to be a guaranteed repertoire, as my dear Madrid audience deserves."
The hour-and-a-half concert will feature a selection of his greatest hits. Additionally, Ruibal will surprise with new arrangements and will be joined by prominent musicians: trumpeter Manuel Machado, violinist Violeta Díez, and pianist Miguel Núñez, known for his work with Pablo Milanés.
Javier Ruibal's artistic versatility is widely recognized, having been awarded the National Prize for Contemporary Music and the National Culture Prize. In this piano-duo format, the artist will transition from the evocative delicacy of Erik Satie to Andalusian, Mediterranean, and even Caribbean rhythms, once again showcasing his unmistakable style, a result of his creative freedom and ability to transcend labels.
