Intense Heat in Northern Madrid: Up to 39ºC this Friday

The State Meteorological Agency forecasts maximum temperatures exceeding 37 degrees in the Sierra and reaching 39 in other areas of the region.

The Community of Madrid will experience a day of intense heat this Friday, September 4th, with maximum temperatures potentially reaching 39 degrees in various towns in the northern part of the region, according to AEMET forecasts.

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has announced that maximum temperatures this Friday will exceed 37 degrees in the lower areas of the Sierra de Guadarrama and will be around 39 degrees in the rest of the northern metropolitan area. The sky is expected to remain partly cloudy during the early hours, becoming medium and high cloudiness from midday. Light haze is possible.
In towns such as Alcobendas and San Sebastián de los Reyes, maximum temperatures of up to 39 ºC are predicted, with an average relative humidity of 19% and variable winds. In Algete, the maximum will be 38 ºC with 21% humidity and northeasterly winds.
The Sierra de Guadarrama will also experience high temperatures, albeit slightly lower. In Becerril De La Sierra and Miraflores De La Sierra, the maximums will be 35 ºC. In Colmenar Viejo, Manzanares El Real, Soto Del Real, and Tres Cantos, thermometers will show up to 37 ºC.
The wind will be light and variable in most of the area, with gusts not exceeding 14 km/h.
