Madrid's Municipal Police arrested two men after a dangerous pursuit on the M-30 at over 180 km/h, who had allegedly robbed an elderly woman.

Two individuals have been arrested by the Madrid Municipal Police after engaging in a reckless chase on the M-30, allegedly following a robbery of an elderly woman in the Fuencarral district.
The incident occurred around 1:40 PM on May 30th. Officers from the Special Services Police Station, while conducting traffic surveillance, observed a vehicle traveling at excessive speed on the central carriageway of the ring road.
Upon noticing the police presence, the occupants of the car initiated a flight. During the pursuit, they performed dangerous zigzag maneuvers and reached speeds exceeding 180 kilometers per hour, putting other road users at serious risk.
The chase concluded near Sirio street, where the car executed a 180-degree turn and began driving in the wrong direction. Ultimately, the vehicle became trapped between a parked car and the police car.
At that moment, four individuals exited the vehicle and attempted to escape on foot. Officers initiated a foot pursuit and managed to apprehend two of the suspects.
During the operation, police inspected the car, which turned out to be a rental. One of the detainees stated that a acquaintance had lent it to him and that he had no further information about the vehicle.
Inside the car, various items were found that were allegedly stolen that same day from an elderly woman in the Fuencarral district.
The detainees, aged 48 and 30, have been handed over to judicial authorities for further investigation.
