The Community of Madrid has announced that 94.4% of patients treated in its public hospitals would recommend these facilities, while Primary Care garners over 90% support and SUMMA 112 achieves satisfaction ratings close to 97%.

A significant 94.8% of patients who received care in Madrid's public hospitals expressed satisfaction with the services. These findings are from the Madrid Health Service Satisfaction Survey, conducted by the Ministry of Health. The study involved 46,712 telephone interviews carried out between October and December 2025, assessing user perceptions of care quality across various levels of the healthcare system.
Nearly nine out of ten respondents, specifically 94.4%, stated they would recommend Madrid's public hospitals to family and friends. In the realm of Primary Care, this level of endorsement stands at 90.1%.

"The Madrid healthcare system responds with quality and guarantees despite care pressure, population aging, chronicity, and the increasing complexity of care."

the Deputy Minister of Health
The results were presented at the Hospital Universitario de La Princesa. The Deputy Minister of Health emphasized that the Madrid healthcare system provides quality and guaranteed responses, even amidst challenges such as care pressure, an aging population, chronic conditions, and the growing complexity of care. She described these figures as "very good news" but stressed the ongoing need to maintain and improve the achieved standards.
Within hospitals, the survey highlights a positive trend in indicators related to the humanization of care. The rating for nighttime quietness during hospitalization improved by almost three percentage points compared to the previous year. Overall, hospital satisfaction exceeds 90% regarding information received, staff treatment, dedication, and respect for patient privacy.
Primary Care also maintains high ratings among users. Both doctors and nurses achieve satisfaction levels above 90% for personal treatment, friendliness, and their ability to resolve health issues during consultations. These figures surpass those of the previous year, reinforcing the perception of stability and favorable evolution in a critical area of public health.
The study also includes perceptions of urgent out-of-hospital care. Rapid Intervention Vehicles and SUMMA 112 mobile ICUs receive particularly high ratings, with nearly 97% of users expressing a positive opinion of these emergency services. The survey confirms that overall satisfaction with the Madrid healthcare system remains high across all its areas, reflecting public trust in regional public health. Nevertheless, the Ministry acknowledges that demographic and care challenges require continuous attention to preserve the quality of healthcare provision.
