After several days of extreme temperatures that neared or exceeded 40 degrees Celsius, fans will once again become optional in the region. The forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) indicates that this Friday will mark the end of the heat episode with a significant drop in maximum temperatures, a day without meteorological warnings, and stable weather across the region.
The decrease will be particularly noticeable during the central hours of the day. Although the atmosphere will remain warm, thermometers will show more bearable values. Madrid city is expected to reach a high of 32 degrees Celsius, the same forecast for Navalcarnero. Getafe will reach 33 degrees Celsius, and Aranjuez will hit 34 degrees Celsius. The highest value is anticipated in Alcalá de Henares, with 35 degrees Celsius, while Collado Villalba will remain at 32 degrees Celsius.
Minimum temperatures will see little change in most of the community. AEMET predicts isolated drops in the Sierra, but minimal variations elsewhere. Minimums will be around 21 degrees Celsius in Madrid, 20 degrees Celsius in Alcalá de Henares and Getafe, and 19 degrees Celsius in Aranjuez, Navalcarnero, and Collado Villalba.
The weather will also align with this change. Skies will remain clear throughout the day, with no significant meteorological phenomena expected. The wind will blow gently from the southwest at the beginning of the day, gaining intensity in the afternoon with moderate intervals, and losing strength in the late hours as it shifts towards the west.
The absence of meteorological warnings underscores the end of the heatwave episode. Temperatures are expected to continue to drop slightly over the weekend.
