Next Sunday, June 21, the Plaza Mayor of Guadarrama will host the itinerant market 'La Despensa de Madrid', an initiative to promote the consumption of local products.

The event, organized by the Community of Madrid in collaboration with the Guadarrama City Council, will take place from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Attendees will be able to purchase a wide range of agri-food products from the region directly from producers, including meat, beer, olives, cheese, wine, and honey, with a significant representation of organic production.
The main objective of this market is to showcase the variety of foods produced or grown in the Community of Madrid, encouraging citizens to consume local products. This practice contributes to revitalizing rural economies and creating sustainable jobs.
This initiative, now in its fourteenth edition, is scheduled to tour twenty Madrid municipalities until October, bringing the region's agri-food offerings to various locations.
The 'M Producto Certificado' (M Certified Product) guarantee mark, launched by the Community of Madrid in 2014 to promote regional foods, will also be present at the market. It currently has the participation of 504 companies and nearly 4,500 products.
