The National Police has successfully dismantled a criminal gang composed of four men, specialized in forced robberies of safes from businesses and shops in the Community of Madrid.

The detainees are allegedly involved in at least 14 robberies committed in various parts of the region, including the Madrid districts of Chamberí, Retiro, Centro, Chamartín, and Moncloa-Aravaca, as well as in the towns of Getafe and Coslada.
According to information provided by the Superior Police Headquarters of Madrid, the group primarily operated in offices, commercial establishments, and premises where they suspected the presence of safes and large sums of money, based on the commercial activity of the businesses.
The investigation began after a forced robbery at a commercial establishment in the Retiro district, where the assailants stole a safe after forcing the access door. Subsequent inquiries allowed investigators to link this event with another 13 reports of similar incidents in the region.
Among the detected cases, four robberies were recorded in different companies located in the same building in the Chamberí district, followed by two more assaults in the same property just a week later. The Police managed to identify the four suspects and, after a surveillance operation, proceeded with their arrest on April 20.
