A spectacular fire broke out in an underground garage on Pastora Imperio street, in the Chamartín district, requiring the intervention of ten units from the Madrid Fire Brigade and other emergency services.

The incident occurred in a garage located beneath a residential building of 18 floors. The swift action of the extinguishing services was crucial in containing the flames and preventing the fire from spreading to the housing block, limiting the damage.
After extinguishing the fire, the Madrid Fire Brigade proceeded to ventilate and inspect the garage structure to assess any architectural damage caused by the high temperatures reached.
As a preliminary material assessment, the fire severely damaged four vehicles parked within the premises. Fortunately, the incident resulted in no casualties, and the SUMMA 112 units deployed preventively did not need to provide medical assistance.
The National Police has launched an investigation to determine the exact origin and causes of the fire, while the Madrid Municipal Police collaborated by securing the perimeter and facilitating the work of the emergency teams.
