A fire that broke out this Thursday in a building in the Tetuán district required an emergency response, leaving one woman in serious condition due to smoke inhalation.

The incident occurred in a home located on the third floor of a building on Sánchez Preciado street. When the Madrid City Council Firefighters arrived, the flames were fully developed and had begun to spread across the building's facade.
The rapid response of the emergency teams allowed the fire to be extinguished before it could reach neighboring homes, preventing the blaze from spreading to other parts of the building.
Medical personnel from Samur-Protección Civil treated an elderly woman at the scene. After being stabilized, she was evacuated to a hospital with a serious prognosis due to smoke inhalation.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the causes and origin of the fire.
