Fire at Arganda del Rey recycling plant generates large smoke plume

A fire broke out on Wednesday afternoon at a recycling plant in Arganda del Rey, causing a large smoke plume visible from various points, with no injuries reported.

Six units from the Community of Madrid Firefighters are deployed to tackle the flames, which started around 5:00 PM on the exterior of a facility located at kilometer 32 of the old Nacional III road.
The fire affects significant piles of paper, scrap metal, and wood. According to the 112 of the Community of Madrid, the blaze has generated a dense smoke column, but fortunately, there have been no reported injuries or intoxications.
Initially, ten fire units responded to the scene. After assessing the situation and confirming that the burning material was not toxic, some units have withdrawn.
