The Government Delegation in Madrid has announced a robust security deployment involving nearly 370 personnel for the UEFA Conference League match between Rayo Vallecano and AEK Athens, classified as high-risk, to be held in Vallecas.

The match, scheduled for Thursday at the Municipal Stadium of Vallecas, has been designated as High-Risk by the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport. This classification mandates the implementation of additional measures by both clubs to ensure spectator safety.
Among the adopted provisions are the prohibition of in-person ticket sales on match day, the establishment of a specific safe zone for visiting fans, and reinforced access controls at the stadium. Approximately 745 Greek supporters with tickets are expected to attend.
Security forces will intensify preventive deployments, with particular attention to fan groups and the overall protection of attendees. This operation will be carried out in close coordination with all organizations involved in the sporting event's organization.
The security detail will include agents from various units of the National Police, such as the Police Intervention Unit, Intelligence, Mobile Brigade, Underground Unit, Cavalry, and Canine Units. They will be joined by personnel from the Municipal Police of Madrid, Samur-Civil Protection, the Fire Department, and security guards and assistants from Rayo Vallecano itself. Attendees are advised to arrive early to facilitate security checks.
