Madrid and Andalusia Join Forces on Artificial Intelligence

The Digitalization counselors of both regions met to promote AI projects in their administrations and explore joint initiatives.

The Community of Madrid and Andalusia have agreed to share strategies for the implementation of new artificial intelligence (AI) projects within their public administrations.

The Counselor of Digitalization for the Community of Madrid, Miguel López-Valverde, met at his Ministry's headquarters with his counterpart from the Regional Government of Andalusia, José Antonio Nieto. The main objective of the meeting was to define joint strategies for incorporating advancements in artificial intelligence into their organizations.
Following the meeting, López-Valverde emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating, "This meeting reinforces the cooperation we have maintained between both regions in recent years. We share challenges and many opportunities, and we are convinced that cooperation is fundamental to promoting a more efficient, secure digital transformation oriented towards the real needs of citizens."
During the meeting, both representatives discussed the optimization and personalization of public services, exploring various options to drive joint innovation initiatives. They also addressed the European project EUNOMIA.AI, in which both autonomies participate alongside national governments and organizations from 13 EU countries and Norway.
The EUNOMIA.AI project aims to implement generative AI in public administrations to make them more efficient and closer to citizens.
