The intervention, part of the Plan Regenera Madrid, will focus on the area around Ibor Street, within the Entrevías II Neighborhood Unit in the Puente de Vallecas district. With a 15-month execution period, the project aims to transform currently degraded spaces into more functional and livable areas.
The plan includes the reorganization of Ibor Street and the inter-block spaces located between Ronda del Sur and Hornachos and Montánchez streets. The works involve widening sidewalks, creating accessible pedestrian routes, and improving access to residential buildings.
In addition to pavement renewal and lighting modernization, the project will promote the renaturalization of the environment with more trees and green areas. It also incorporates urban furniture, children's play areas, calisthenics zones, and bicycle parking to encourage neighborhood coexistence and reduce the heat island effect.
