The Socialist Group in the Madrid Assembly has urged the Government of the Community of Madrid to present evidence supporting claims of threats and boycotts from the Mexican government during a recent official trip.

The PSOE spokesperson has submitted several information requests for the regional government to clarify the situation. Specifically, it has been asked whether the president can show proof supporting her claim that the Mexican president allegedly contacted the venue of the Platino Awards 2026 to threaten its closure if the Community of Madrid president attended the event.

"After making the most appalling spectacle in Mexico, she returns to continue causing embarrassment, playing the victim. This is pure strategy by her chief of staff; we make a fool of ourselves, we victimize ourselves, and we blame the Government."

From the Socialist Group, it is believed that the president of the Community of Madrid should explain the cost of her trip to Mexico and the other eighteen international journeys made in the last three years. The aim is to determine if these expenses have been covered by the citizens of Madrid and what the purpose of these trips has been.

"The president needs to stop being an embarrassment and start providing explanations."
