The works, managed by the Municipal Housing and Land Company (EMVS Madrid), are focused on Badalona, Manresa, Mataró, and Olesa de Montserrat streets. The main goal is to transform this Residential Environment for Programmed Rehabilitation (ERRP) to ensure better flow and accessibility across an area of approximately 3,000 square meters.
The plan includes removing architectural obstacles, such as old ramps and stairs, to facilitate direct access to building entrances. Additionally, the intersection between Manresa and Badalona streets has been redesigned to increase pedestrian safety.
The renovation also includes adapting spaces between blocks to allow for the passage of emergency vehicles, such as ambulances and fire trucks. At the same time, pavement is being renewed, lighting and drainage networks are being buried, and a new green area is being created near Olesa de Montserrat street.
“"This is a very necessary comprehensive project that not only eliminates obsolete architectural barriers but also ensures that direct access to housing portals is completely accessible for the neighborhood's residents."
The total investment for these improvements exceeds 438,000 euros. This budget comes from the European Union's Next Generation funds, through a collaboration agreement between the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda, the Community of Madrid, and the Madrid City Council.
