The event, starting at 4:00 PM, is designed as a day of faith and celebration, structured into four main segments: Welcome, Listening, Encounter, and Corpus Christi Vigil, concluding with a Sending forth.
The Listening phase will include performances by artists, testimonies, and the recitation of the rosary, featuring the image of Our Lady of Almudena, patroness of the Archdiocese of Madrid.
A central moment will be the Encounter, where the Pope will travel along the Paseo de la Castellana in the popemobile to engage in direct dialogue with the young attendees on the main stage.
The organization stems from a participatory process involving over 150 members from parishes and ecclesiastical movements within the Ecclesiastical Province of Madrid, who formed coordination, creative, and artistic-musical teams.
As part of the spiritual preparation, eight replicas of a Pilgrim Cross have been created and are touring the diocese. Additionally, three listening points staffed by trained individuals will be available, continuing the pastoral work promoted by Cardinal José Cobo.
The visit of Pope Leo XIV to Madrid, culminating on June 5th with the Vespers prayer at the Cathedral of Santa María la Real de la Almudena, has involved intensive spiritual preparation, emphasizing the sacrament of reconciliation, for which parishes will remain open.
Music will play a crucial role, with artists such as Siloé, Beret, Mr. Rain, Inazio, Hey Kid, and Lola Tuduri confirmed to connect with the young audience. More participants, including Catholic music singers, will be announced on the social media channels of the Archdiocese of Madrid and Jóvenes Madrid.
The event continues into the night of June 6th-7th with 'The White and Yellow Night', offering free access to major Madrid museums with extended hours. The Prado Museum, Reina Sofía, Thyssen-Bornemisza, the Gallery of Royal Collections, and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando are among those extending their opening times.
Institutions such as CaixaForum Madrid, Fundación MAPFRE at the Recoletos Hall, and the Telefónica Foundation Space will also join this cultural initiative, alongside the Museum of the History of Madrid, the Museum of San Isidro, and the Temple of Debod.
During 'The Yellow Night', several central Madrid parishes will remain open all night as spaces for silence and prayer, accommodating young people who cannot return home between the vigil's end and accessing the venue for Sunday's Mass.
