The encounter will address issues of great relevance to young people, including social polarization, suffering, vocation, the meaning of life, and the existence of God. The Archdiocese of Madrid presented the details of the vigil, which will commence at 6:00 PM, although access to the venue will open at 4:00 PM.
The Pontiff's arrival is scheduled for 8:30 PM, and his time with the young attendees is expected to last between one and a half to two hours, concluding after 10:00 PM. Prior to this, he will take a Popemobile tour from Plaza de San Juan de la Cruz to greet attendees.
The vigil will be structured into three parts: testimonies, direct dialogue with the youth, and a liturgical moment. The stage, measuring four and a half meters high and oriented towards the south of Paseo de la Castellana, will reflect this division. The lower section will host musical performances by a choir of 150 people, the middle section will be where the Pope answers questions, and the upper section will be dedicated to adoration.
The musical program will feature artists such as Siloé, Beret, Lola Tuduri, Inazio, Hey Kid, and Mr. Rain. The composer and artistic director of the visit, Pablo Cebrián, emphasized that the artists are participating out of "communion" rather than "promotion".
Father Luis Melchor, a member of the coordinating team, stated that the organization aims to address the deep concerns of young people, related to "universal calls: to be happy, to be loved," and to offer them a space of trust within the Church.
Miriam Blanco, pastoral secretary for the youth delegation, asserted that young people seek a faith with "content," that is "understandable and coherent," rather than "light" or "gluten-free."
The Archdiocese has arranged 29,000 places for pilgrims in schools, parishes, centers, and families. Sources from the Archdiocese also mentioned the invitation extended to singer Bad Bunny, whose concert coincides with the vigil, reiterating that "everyone is invited."
Cardinal Archbishop of Madrid, José Cobo, did not rule out a meeting between Pope Leo XIV and Bad Bunny, noting that "they would not be antagonistic things" and that "the Pope will surely receive him, as he receives everyone." He recalled that the vigil "is not simply an event like a concert," but rather "an important moment in terms of an embrace."
