An extensive investigation by the Civil Guard has led to the dismantling of a significant drug trafficking network in the Community of Madrid, resulting in six arrests and the seizure of large quantities of drugs and weapons.

The two-phase operation began in July 2025 after intelligence indicated a group was moving substantial amounts of cocaine through the capital, its metropolitan area, and other parts of Spain. Agents from the Civil Guard Command in Madrid spent months meticulously mapping the organization's structure, logistics, and storage and distribution points.
The network operated with a well-defined structure, with each member having a specific role. An individual residing in Madrid led and coordinated operations, while other members were responsible for drug custody, transport, and distribution. For nationwide transport, they used vehicles with false compartments, a common technique for concealing narcotics and cash.

"The group was not an improvised gang. It had a clear structure, with each member assuming a specific role."

Initial inquiries identified a property in San Sebastián de los Reyes used as a meeting point for transactions with other distributors. Subsequently, a second property in Arganda del Rey was located, serving as the main storage facility, equipped with robust security measures, highlighting the volume of business handled by the organization.
The final phase of the operation was executed in April 2026 with four simultaneous house searches in Arganda del Rey, San Sebastián de los Reyes, and Madrid capital. This resulted in the seizure of 179 kilograms of cocaine and 45 kilograms of hashish, along with 244,860 euros in cash. Three short firearms with ammunition and a hunting shotgun were also confiscated, adding a significant element of danger to the organization's profile.
Six individuals were arrested and brought before the courts, charged with crimes against public health, illegal possession of weapons, and belonging to a criminal group. Following court appearances, the judge ordered all detainees to provisional prison without exception, indicating a high risk of flight or reoffending.
