The head-on collision between two cars took place at 5:35 AM on kilometer 7.5 of the aforementioned road. The incident necessitated the intervention of the Community of Madrid Firefighters and Summa 112, who attended to the five victims.
Emergency services confirmed the deaths of two occupants. One was the driver and sole occupant of one of the vehicles, who was in cardiac arrest. Despite resuscitation efforts, death was confirmed.
Four men were traveling in the other car. One of them also suffered cardiac arrest and died at the scene. The remaining three occupants, aged between 18 and 36, sustained multiple traumas and were urgently transported to Puerta de Hierro, Doce de Octubre, and Gregorio Marañón hospitals.
Firefighters were responsible for cleaning the road to restore traffic flow. The Civil Guard has launched an investigation to determine the exact causes of the incident.
