“"Throughout my life, I have become increasingly aware of inequality, of how people live in a place like San Blas and then what people live in other places that are 20 minutes away by metro whose rent triples ours. That's why I'm in Más Madrid, and that's why I make videos about my neighborhood and the history of working-class neighborhoods. So that the identity of the neighborhoods is not lost, not blurred by tourist rentals and closing businesses."
Diana López, the voice of Madrid's working-class neighborhoods in Más Madrid
The young economist and political scientist will occupy the ninth position on Rita Maestre's list for the City Council, bringing her perspective from San Blas-Canillejas.

Más Madrid welcomes Diana López, a 25-year-old economist and political scientist, to a prominent position on its City Council candidacy, aiming to connect with working-class neighborhoods.
The Más Madrid party has announced the inclusion of Diana López, 25, in the electoral list led by Rita Maestre for the upcoming Madrid City Council elections. López, currently the party's spokesperson in San Blas-Canillejas, is positioned as a key figure to represent the demands of the capital's working-class neighborhoods.
Born in San Blas in 1999, López is a state civil servant with a background in Political Science and Economics. Her inclusion in the list, at the ninth position, signifies a commitment to young talent and profiles with roots in districts possessing a strong working-class identity. She is also known for her social media activity and her involvement with the channel Woke Up, where she addresses issues such as the housing crisis and the defense of women's sports.
Through her videos, López has denounced the exorbitant rental prices in working-class neighborhoods and highlighted the importance of historical memory and community activism in shaping these areas. She identifies as vegan and antifascist, and has demonstrated her commitment to equality in sports, criticizing sexist attitudes in football.
Rita Maestre has highlighted López's profile as representing a generation of young women committed to equality and aware of the importance of fighting for rights. The Más Madrid candidate emphasizes that López brings a "neighborhood and class consciousness" and breaks stereotypes, particularly through her involvement in sports.
López's incorporation is part of Más Madrid's internal primary process to form its municipal and regional candidacies. Maestre's list for the Madrid City Council is expected to be proclaimed without internal opposition.
