The judicial decision raises the initial compensation set by the Community of Madrid in 2023 by 89,608.43 euros, bringing the total to 362,051.45 euros. This compensation covers the loss of the property, which was declared ruined and demolished, as well as furniture and moral damages.

The court particularly emphasized the prolonged suffering of the homeowners, acknowledging the emotional impact of the forced eviction, the uncertainty about their home's condition, and the loss of their belongings. The ruling, part of a procedure consolidating 28 neighborhood claims, partially upholds claims related to the property located on Rafael Alberti street.

Although the verdict is not final, the Community of Madrid, through the Department of Housing, Transport, and Infrastructure, has confirmed it will not appeal the ruling, considering it substantially confirms the legal criteria defended by the Administration. The regional executive states that the differences are limited to the economic valuation of certain aspects, such as the property appraisal, furniture, and moral damages, while maintaining the essential elements of their position.

Both the Association of Affected Metro Rafael Alberti and Presa de San Fernando de Henares and the City Council of the municipality have welcomed the resolution. The affected parties view it as a collective victory, while the mayor, Javier Corpa, reiterated the municipal commitment to continue demanding solutions for the affected homes and the restoration of public services damaged by the Metro works.
