The Community of Madrid has unveiled SOL, an innovative Artificial Intelligence-powered avatar, alongside a revamped institutional website, aiming to simplify citizen interaction with the administration and streamline procedures.

This new technological tool, designed to simulate human behavior, will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, facilitating access to information and resolving queries. Its primary goal is to reduce waiting times and improve efficiency in citizen services, especially for those with fewer digital skills.

"The magic of AI allows SOL to be operational 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and it is specially designed to help those who lack digital skills."

Unlike traditional chatbots, SOL uses natural language and offers communication via both text and voice in 95 languages, significantly enhancing the user experience. It is estimated that this technology will be able to resolve up to 70% of queries currently directed to the 012 service, thereby avoiding long waits and complementing the work of public service professionals.
In future phases, the SOL avatar will incorporate the ability to perform specific procedures, such as scholarship applications, offering comprehensive assistance throughout the process. Its integration with other key platforms of the Community of Madrid, such as Cuenta Digital, services from the Regional Transport Consortium, and the Youth Card, is also planned.
In parallel with the launch of SOL, a revamped version of the Community of Madrid's institutional website has been introduced. This redesign aims to offer a more modern, accessible, and intuitive platform, making it easier for all citizens to find relevant information. The new structure includes an optimized header for direct access to important content and improved search engines, adapted for mobile devices, for smoother navigation.
