One hundred public educational centers in the Community of Madrid have received technical equipment to establish their own school radio stations, an initiative by the regional government aimed at strengthening students' communicative, technological, and social skills.

This measure is part of the Voces del Aula program, which seeks to consolidate a network of school radios in non-university education and promote the use of radio as an integral teaching tool in students' curricula.
The material supplied varies by center type, including headphones, dynamic microphones, stands, cabling, speakers, distributors, and amplifiers. The Minister of Digitalization, Miguel López-Valverde, highlighted the educational value of this proposal, noting that school radio improves communication, stimulates early vocations, fosters teamwork, and boosts students' self-esteem.
Of the beneficiary centers, 73 correspond to Early Childhood, Primary, and Special Education, receiving a complete kit with a digital mixing console. The remaining 27 Secondary and Vocational Training institutes have been equipped with similar material, adapted to their needs, including analog mixing consoles and additional components for more advanced technical learning.
The distinction between digital and analog equipment responds to pedagogical criteria. While simplicity and practicality are prioritized for Primary and Special Education stages, Secondary focuses on reinforcing literacy, digital competence, and socialization through the use of equipment with greater technical possibilities.
Currently, 221 educational centers participate in the Voces del Aula program, producing podcasts on scientific, humanistic, artistic, and current affairs topics. These productions are published on a specific program platform. The investment in this initiative amounts to nearly 100,000 euros, adding to the 100 million euros in European funds that the Community of Madrid has allocated to technological equipment for over 28,000 classrooms during this legislative term.
