The Community of Madrid has approved an investment of 1.089 million euros to sponsor the Mad Cool festival, taking place in Villaverde from July 8 to 11, aiming to attract international tourism and establish the region as a center for major cultural events.

This significant economic contribution, approved by the Governing Council, will allow the regional administration to have a prominent presence at the festival grounds. A dedicated space for tourism promotion will be set up, and various digital activation initiatives will be implemented, including the Mad Sound project, which will feature videos supporting emerging talent filmed in different locations across the Community of Madrid.
Furthermore, the strategy includes an intensive social media campaign, both before and after the event, designed to showcase the region's main tourist attractions to national and international audiences. This ninth edition of the festival in Madrid is expected to draw over 240,000 attendees, with 25% coming from abroad.

The festival has been recognized by the British magazine New Musical Express as the European event with the best lineup.

The economic impact of the 2025 edition of Mad Cool exceeded 36 million euros in the Community of Madrid, contributing to the creation of 4,832 jobs. On that occasion, the 162,000 attendees, with 25% international participation, generated a total expenditure of 12.6 million euros.
In the media sphere, the festival generated over 2,235 publications in print, digital media, radio, and television, reaching 707 million users and generating an advertising return exceeding 11 million euros. Additionally, 380 journalists from 240 national media outlets and 75 professionals from 42 international media outlets were accredited, highlighting the global relevance of the event.
