The Community of Madrid has launched a new call for grants totaling 50,000 euros, aimed at non-profit organizations to promote bullfighting in the region.

These subsidies, which can reach up to 3,000 euros per beneficiary, replace the grant scheme in force since 2010 and introduce significant changes in both the funding model and the types of eligible activities.
One of the main novelties is the possibility for bullfighting associations and clubs to receive 100% of the aid in advance, without guarantees, provided that the activities are carried out within the calendar year of the call. The deadline for justifying expenses has been extended until February 28, 2027.
Activities eligible for funding include the organization of 'capeas' (amateur bullfights) and release of cattle, tributes to bullfighting figures, guided visits to bull ranches, museums, or bullrings, as well as studies and research on bullfighting, informative publications, and website development.
Exhibitions, conferences, discussion groups, and bullfighting colloquiums can also apply for funding. Event organization expenses, such as setup, transport, venue rental, subsistence and accommodation for speakers, as well as advertising and dissemination actions in physical and digital formats, are also eligible for financial support.
