The Community of Madrid approved this Wednesday a fund of 37.5 million euros to finance social projects, anticipating the distribution of funds by the central government.

These funds, primarily sourced from 0.7% of the Personal Income Tax (IRPF) and Corporate Tax, as well as the Co-responsible Plan, will be allocated to Third Sector entities. The objective is to support initiatives in key areas such as social inclusion, care for the elderly, disability, and work-life balance.

"The Community has chosen to advance the call for applications because the Government of Spain will not approve the definitive distribution of funds to the autonomous communities until after the summer."

The measure seeks to ensure that social organizations do not have to wait months to access the necessary resources for their programs. Of the total, 30.9 million euros come from IRPF and Corporate Tax, while the remainder is linked to the Co-responsible Plan and other social support lines.
The aid will fund programs targeting various groups, including women, vulnerable individuals, children and families, people with disabilities, the elderly, volunteers, and social integration. In 2025, the General Directorate of Social Services and Integration subsidized 727 projects from 322 different entities, utilizing 100% of the available budget, demonstrating effective fund management.
