The Minister of Health of the Community of Madrid, Fátima Matute, highlighted the center's work, stating that 282 people have been treated at CEADELA, located at the public Hospital Enfermera Isabel Zendal, since its inauguration two years ago. Currently, 127 of them are receiving care at these facilities.
During a visit to the healthcare complex, Matute welcomed Jaime Lafita, an individual affected by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Lafita is cycling across Spain to advocate for the effective implementation of the ALS Law, approved by the Congress of Deputies in 2024.
“"To raise awareness of the significant contribution of a pioneering center in Spain like CEADELA, which provides comprehensive care and social and family support to patients in the Community of Madrid."
The minister thanked Lafita for his stop in the region, acknowledging the importance of his initiative in publicizing the work of CEADELA, a pioneering center in Spain offering comprehensive care to ALS patients in the Community of Madrid, including social and family support.
