A vehicle plunged to the lower level of a parking garage in Olavide Square, Chamberí district, Madrid, last Friday, resulting in two minor injuries and the temporary closure of the Olavide Tunnel.

The incident occurred when a car lost control and fell into the lower level of the parking facility located in Olavide Square. The two occupants of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and received on-site treatment from SAMUR emergency services, with no hospital transfer required, as reported by Emergencias Madrid.
Firefighters from the Madrid City Council were dispatched to the scene to conduct a complex operation to retrieve the damaged vehicle. Following its extraction, they proceeded to secure the affected section of the parking structure to ensure safety.
The Municipal Police managed traffic, keeping the Olavide Tunnel closed throughout the intervention, which caused disruptions in the area's circulation. Once the emergency teams completed their work, the tunnel was reopened to traffic, while SAMUR remained on standby as a precautionary measure.
