The awards for the San Isidro Fair 2025, selected by the Community of Madrid and the City Council, have honored the key figures of the previous bullfighting season at Las Ventas. Among the recipients is Alejandro Talavante, who has been recognized as the best matador of last year in the capital.
Talavante was the only bullfighter to exit through the main gate during the San Isidro cycle, a feat that underscores his remarkable performance. In the novillero category, Aaron Palacio received an award after cutting an ear in the first novillada of the fair, demonstrating his potential in the arena.
In the ranching sector, the Jandilla ranch was awarded for the excellent presentation and bravery of its bullfight, which took place on June 5. Additionally, the bull 'Frenoso', from the Victoriano del Río ranch, was recognized as the bravest of the season. This specimen, with a black coat and weighing 559 kilograms, received an ovation as it was dragged out after being fought on May 16 by Fernando Adrián.
These awards aim to acknowledge the most outstanding performances of the past bullfighting season. The jury, which met this Monday at Las Ventas, included the participation of the director of the Bullfighting Affairs Center of the Community of Madrid, Miguel Martín.
