The Community of Madrid hosts Borde[r], the second installment of the Trilogy of Uncertainty by the Sr. Smith Company. The play, written and directed by Pedro Casas, explores the limits of the body, sanity, representability, and individualism through a dark comedy.
The plot places six strangers in a Citizen Service Office, where a trivial dispute escalates into a physical fight. As the chaos unfolds, the personal stories that led each character to this situation are revealed.
One of Borde[r]'s most distinctive features is its interactive nature. Director Pedro Casas has designed specific moments where the audience can intervene to stop scenes that are uncomfortable or difficult to digest, thereby highlighting the challenge of knowing and taking responsibility for our limits.
“"It is a participatory device that facilitates immersion in the problem of what our limits are and what responsibility they entail."
The play features performances by Marta Pons, Luna Mayo, Tania Medina, Jorge Vidal, Ivan Serrano, and Asier Iturriaga. The scenography is complemented by the assistant direction of Gala Martínez-Romero.
Tickets are priced at 8€, with reduced rates of 6€ for those over 65, young people with a youth card, the unemployed, and large families. The capacity is limited to 100 seats.
