The government has approved an investment of 60.76 million euros for the conservation and operation of several sections of the A-2 and A-4 highways in the Community of Madrid.

This amount is part of a state package of 1,006 million euros, excluding VAT, which will be distributed for the maintenance of the State Road Network across ten autonomous communities.
The investment is included within six contracting processes aimed at ensuring the good condition of nearly 3,670 kilometers of state roads, of which 2,261 kilometers are highways.
The awarded contracts will have an initial duration of three years, with the possibility of extension for an additional two years and a further nine-month period.
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has emphasized that these contracts include specific requirements to promote energy efficiency and emission reduction in infrastructure maintenance.
