Two people were seriously injured this Monday after a traffic accident occurred on the M-21 highway, near San Fernando de Henares, which caused traffic jams.

A road incident on the M-21, within the municipality of San Fernando de Henares, has resulted in two people being injured with potentially serious prognoses. The accident, a rear-end collision between a van and a small truck, took place at kilometer 7 of the highway and caused significant traffic delays.
Emergency services from the SUMMA attended to a 49-year-old man who sustained multiple traumas. After being stabilized, he was transferred to La Paz Hospital in a condition considered potentially serious.
A 26-year-old woman was also injured in the same incident. She suffered a moderate traumatic brain injury and a closed fracture in her left arm. Like the first injured person, she was evacuated to La Paz Hospital with a potentially serious prognosis.
The Guardia Civil has launched an investigation to determine the exact causes and circumstances surrounding this traffic accident on the M-21.
